Attention: Changes must be made to the RightFax server in
order to support time calculations in any country or locale that
observes some form of daylight saving time (DST). A time change problem
may affect customers who are running RightFax 9.3. RightFax 9.0 and
previous versions are not affected by the Microsoft DST Patch because
time and events are handled differently.
If the RightFax DST patch is not installed, a delay in outbound faxes
may be experienced at 2:00 am on November 4th, 2007 and the symptoms may
be noticed until 3:00 am. Faxes scheduled to be sent around the time
change (for example - around 2:00 am local time on Sunday November 4th
in North America) may return a status of "Unknown Error Reported by Fax
Board". When this occurs, users will have to recreate and resend the
fax. Faxes queued to the fax server starting at 10 minutes before the
DST change occurs up until the DST change occurs will remain 'In
Conversion' status for up to 30 minutes after submission. To expedite
the processing of these faxes, you can manually send them past the 'In
Conversion' status by highlighting them in FaxUtil and pressing CTRL+K
These patches are in addition to and in no way replace the Microsoft DST
Patch. Please download that patch from Microsoft’s website.

RightFax 9.3
In order to avoid issues with the Microsoft DST Patch, RightFax Feature
Pack 2 (FP2) needs to be applied as well as the RightFax 9.3 DST patch.
FP2 must be installed prior to the 9.3 DST patch. Both FP2 and the DST
patch can be downloaded from the link below:

Please install the patches in the order shown below. A description is
provided along with information for installation:
1. RightFax 9.3 Feature Pack 2
Description: This is a one part installation. Back up your
RightFax directory, RightFax SQL database and the registry on the
RightFax server. Once these steps have been completed, launch the
RightFax930_FP2.exe file that has been downloaded.
Instruction: You will be prompted to ensure all files are backed
up and to ensure all RightFax services on any remote services are
stopped. This includes Remote BoardServers, Remote WebUtil Servers and
the Exchange Connector for RightFax. Once this has been confirmed, the
installer will display a list of all services running locally. Choose
shutdown to stop the services and the installation will proceed. In some
instances, a reboot will be required. Please reboot if prompted.
If there are servers running remote services, run the
RightFax930_FP2.exe on these servers after the main server has been
completed. Ensure the same backup procedures from the main RightFax
server have been followed on the remote servers, prior to installation.
2. RightFax DST Update
Description: This download contains one file (Faxserv.exe) and
will replace your existing executable. Backup the existing Faxserv.exe
file, located in the RightFax\Bin directory.
Instructions: Stop all RightFax services in Enterprise Fax
Manager. Extract Faxserv.exe from the RF93FP2DST.zip file to the \RightFax\Bin
directory. Restart all services in Enterprise Fax Manager.
RightFax 9.0 and 8.X
RightFax 9.0 and previous versions are not affected by the Microsoft DST
Patch because time and events are handled differently. No patch is
needed from Captaris for these versions.
