ZANTAZ acquires Singlecast
ZANTAZ acquires
Singlecast for data classification, policy management
and supervision technologies, enabling them to provide
enhanced intelligent workflow, review and control of
electronic data. Companies that leverage these
technologies across their archive will see many

Industry
report predicts steady growth ahead for the fax server
market due to MFPs and Fax over IP
According to the Computer-Based Fax Markets Report
2005-2010 from Davidson Consulting, multifunction
printers (MFPs) could account for nearly one-third of
fax server sales by 2010. FoIP sales are expected to
grow at an annual rate of 50.7% over the next five years
(2006-2010).
The report named Captaris as the overall global leader
of the fax server market. Captaris increased its 2005
worldwide market share for fax server software to 31.5%,
which is two and a half times as large as its nearest
software competitor.

5.0 Service Pack 2
ZANTAZ has announced
the release of EAS 5.0 Service Pack 2. This release provides
updates that improve the stability and performance of select
EAS 5.0 components.

should consider upgrading to EAS Release 5.0 Service

Cantata Brooktrout
The TR114
series of fax boards including all digital, analog and
DID/Combo boards are end of life and have been discontinued.
As of January 1, 2007, IIS will no longer accept orders for
any of the following items:
TR114+uP2C
TR114+uP2D
TR114+uP4C
TR114+uP4D
In addition, the DID Power
Supply will no longer be available as of January 1, 2007:
IIS recommends customers purchase the next generation fax platforms,
the TR1034 or SR140, which offer the same fax performance at faster
speeds or over IP networks.

ZANTAZ Enterprise Archive Solution
With the release
of EAS 4.3 in December, 2005, the supported versions of EAS
are EAS 4.1, EAS 4.2 and EAS 4.3.
Please note that
based on current ZANTAZ EAS development plans, maintenance
for EAS 4.1 will be discontinued in June 2006, and
maintenance for EAS 4.2 will be discontinued in Q4,
2006. Technical Support will be discontinued once an
End-of-Life statement is released. As customers plan their
upgrade strategy, they are encouraged to take this advance
information into consideration.
