RightFax
9.3 and Office 2007
RightFax 9.3 has added support for Microsoft Office 2007 in
their latest Feature Pack update (Feature Pack 2). With this
added support, there are a few items that must be setup to
ensure the server is ready for the new version.
Once Office
2007 is installed on the RightFax server, each coversheet
from the RightFax\FCS directory must be opened. Choose close
when the “Show Repairs” dialog box is presented. If this is
not completed, any outbound fax set to use a .DOC coversheet
will fail conversion. Also, when sending an outbound fax
with a .DOCX file attachment, the conversion process will
fail. Save the document as a .DOC (Word 97-2003) document
and resend. This does not apply to faxes that are sent via
the RightFax Fax Printer, only faxes that have a Word
document attached.

MSExchange.org
Readers Choose Captaris RightFax As Preferred Exchange Fax
Connector
Captaris RightFax recently won the
Exchange Fax Connectors category of the MSExchange.org Readers’
Choice Awards. RightFax was chosen by readers of the publication
who are specialists in working with Exchange solutions. “Our
Readers’ Choice Awards give visitors to our site the opportunity
to vote for the products they view as the very best in their
respective category,” said Sean Buttigieg, MSExchange.org
manager. “MSExchange.org users are specialists in their field
who encounter various solutions for Exchange Server at the
workplace. Their vote serves as a solid peer-to-peer
recommendation of the winning product.”
Regular polls are conducted to
discover which product is preferred by Exchange administrators
in a particular category of third party solutions for Microsoft
Exchange Server. The awards draw a huge response per category
and are based entirely on the visitors’ votes.
“We are extremely pleased by the recognition given to RightFax
by these Microsoft Exchange Server experts,” said Paul Yantus,
Captaris executive vice president of marketing and product
development. “Captaris products, including RightFax, Alchemy and
Workflow, are designed to integrate easily into a Microsoft
