Captaris to Acquire Castelle
Captaris has announced that they will acquire all of the outstanding stock of Castelle (NASDAQ: CSTL). “We are very excited about the opportunities ahead of us with the combination of Captaris and Castelle products, customer base and employees,” said David P. RightFax
Where did the BoardServer Module Service go in 9.3?
The BoardServer module is no longer used after applying FP1b for RightFax 9.3 with TR1034 fax boards configured. As of FP1b for RightFax 9.3, the configuration of TR1034 fax boards has moved from the BoardServer to the DocTransport module. The DocTransport module now communicates directly with the Brooktrout API (SDK 5.0) when using TR1034 fax boards which eliminates the need for a BoardServer module in this configuration.

Note: TR114 & Intel/Dialogic fax boards are still configured in & use the BoardServer module as they have previous to FP1b for RightFax 9.3.

EAS Outlook buttons disappear or cannot retrieve archived emails
When EAS is deployed using the Outlook extensions, some new elements are added to your Outlook client environment and the web browser view of your mail system. A toolbar gives you quick access to EAS functionality. At any point, if your Outlook crashes, Microsoft Outlook attempts to disable any add-ins. If this occurs, you will not be able to retrieve archived, stubbed messages in Outlook. The EAS Outlook toolbar will also not appear.

To resolve this issue, simply re-enable the EAS Outlook toolbar. In Outlook, click on Help, About Microsoft Outlook. The About screen will appear, and you will see some additional buttons. Click on “Disabled Items...“, click on the EAS toolbar, and select “Enable“. This will restore the EAS Outlook toolbar and will allow you to retrieve your archived stubbed messages again. Note: you may need to restart Outlook to see the restored EAS Outlook toolbar.
