Daylight Savings Time (DST) - RightFax Update May Be Required
Attention: Changes must be made to the RightFax server in order to support time calculations in any country or locale that observes some form of daylight saving time (DST). A time change problem may affect customers who are running RightFax 9.3. RightFax 9.0 and previous versions are not affected by the Microsoft DST Patch because time and events are handled differently.

If the RightFax DST patch is not installed, a delay in outbound faxes may be experienced at 2:00 am on November 4th, 2007 and the symptoms may be noticed until 3:00 am. Faxes scheduled to be sent around the time change (for example - around 2:00 am local time on Sunday November 4th in North America) may return a status of "Unknown Error Reported by Fax Board". When this occurs, users will have to recreate and resend the fax. Faxes queued to the fax server starting at 10 minutes before the DST change occurs up until the DST change occurs will remain 'In Conversion' status for up to 30 minutes after submission. To expedite the processing of these faxes, you can manually send them past the 'In Conversion' status by highlighting them in FaxUtil and pressing CTRL+K

Implementing RightFax for High Volume Electronic Document Delivery across the Enterprise

Starting with a single RightFax Server installation in 1995, Countrywide has worked with Instant InfoSystems to continuously upgrade and expand the solution to include more capacity and take advantage of advanced features. RightFax is now used by both business and functional units of Countrywide and has become an integral part of operations. The enterprise recently turned to Instant InfoSystems to help it fully standardize on RightFax, with more than 40 servers and 1,300 channels. It now processes in excess of 3.4 million pages per month.

Employee Profile
Know our employees a little better. This month’s featured employee is Ken Anaya, Sales Operations Manager

Ken Anaya has been working at Instant InfoSystems (IIS) for the past nine years. Since 1998 Ken has held numerous positions at IIS. He started at IIS on the Technical Support team. After a few years in support Ken decided that sales was more his calling and decided to go into the field of a sales professional. After a few years in the field, Ken was promoted to Sales Operations Manager. Ken has served in this role for the past two years and has been an invaluable member of the sales organization.

Ken has been involved in a number of initiatives that have helped IIS become a stronger company. Recently Ken teamed with our partners to help IIS better serve our customers. Ken has led the initiative to bring our marketing and sales teams closer together. As Sales Operations Manager, Ken works daily with the sales team to help tailor solutions for our customers. Many of you who are reading this may have had conversations with Ken in the past and realize what a great asset he is.

Recently Ken moved to San Diego County where he has continued in his role as Sales Operations Manager. Ken’s versatility really came through during the recent fires in California. When the fires began in San Diego, Ken, his wife and daughter were forced to evacuate their home. They went to stay with Ken’s sister who lives 30 miles away. Within an 8 hour span, they had to evacuate from this location and were forced to go to his mother’s home, another 20 miles away. The following day, the fires continued to burn and Ken took his family 100 miles away to Palm Springs to avoid the fires. During these frequent moves Ken continued to do his job and was able to support the sales organization.

This type of extraordinary effort has earned Ken the continued respect of both IIS and our customers. If you have had the opportunity to work with Ken then you will realize that this extra effort comes easy to Ken. He is a true star performer at IIS and we feel fortunate to have Ken as part of the IIS family.
