exchange@PAM Version 3 now available

exchange@PAM version 3 provides administrators with intelligent tools including integrated Hierarchical Storage Management, direct archiving®, PST gatherer, Enterprise Content Management post-processing and dedicated retention categories in addition to the classic scheduled archiving jobs based on age and size.

With exchange@PAM version 3 you can now use the System Manager (Exchange Admin Tools) for the MAPI connection instead of installing Outlook. This provides much faster MAPI access to the Exchange server. Customers may want to upgrade their product to the latest version of H&S and install the System Manager tool for the MAPI connection.

What is BlackBerry Archiving?
BlackBerry handhelds provide convenient and quick access to email but there are limitations to the amount of mail that can be accessed due to limits on handheld storage or message age. Leading Email Archiving solution providers now make it possible for Blackberry users to access archived emails via their handheld device.

For example ZL Technologies Unified Archive’s ability to stub mailboxes for storage optimization works directly with the BlackBerry mail client enabling users to immediately view the full message contents on their BlackBerry even when the email has been stubbed on the mail server. H&S' exchange@PAM solution provides an option to delay stubbing of messages for a brief period of time to allow access to messages via their Blackberry device.

BoardServer Module No Longer Exists After Upgrading to RF 9.3
There are many differences between RightFax versions 8.X and 9.3. After an upgrade is performed, and the latest Feature Pack is installed, the biggest difference to keep in mind is that the RightFax BoardServer service is no longer running when using any TR1034 model Brooktrout Fax Boards. The service that controls Fax Boards and settings is now the RightFax DocTransport service. The RightFax Boardserver service is used only when a TR114 model Brooktrout Fax Board is installed.
