Captaris Announces New Support Requirements for all RightFax Systems and Changes to RightFax Upgrade Pricing! Effective February 17, 2004, Captaris has mandated that all new RightFax servers sold will require an accompanying Software Maintenance Agreement. After February 16, 2004, existing Instant InfoSystems RightFax customers with IIS RightFax support agreements must also maintain a software maintenance support agreement in order for IIS to contact Captaris on their behalf. IIS customers currently covered by an IIS RightFax support agreement that does not include software maintenance may qualify to be “Grandfathered” to receive manufacturer level support, but only until the expiration date of the current IIS RightFax support agreement. However, we recommend that all current customers purchase a Maintenance Only support agreement, in order to receive upgrades at significantly lower prices. On February 17, 2004, Captaris will also be significantly increasing the price of upgrading your RightFax solution. After February 16, RightFax users without a software maintenance agreement, will see the price of upgrading their RightFax system go up to 65% of the MSLP of the entire RightFax solution. This is a drastic change from the current upgrade pricing model that requires customers only to purchase an upgrade for the server alone. IIS will be able to offer discounted upgrade pricing for customers who purchase software maintenance agreements after February 16, but pricing will be significantly higher than what we can offer today. To lock in the best possible price on RightFax software maintenance and upgrades, Instant InfoSystems recommends that all RightFax users purchase a Software Maintenance Agreement before February17, 2004!
